Private Buses again not Part of Public Transport in Capital

The capital has once again faced a public transport problem. On Wednesday, private transporters stated that their buses were not on the streets because the Public Transport Enterprise’s management owed them over 150 million denars, which hadn’t been paid since December.

Telma asked the Enterprise to comment on both the accusations and the criticism from citizens over the issue, but it declined to give a statement.

However, earlier on Wednesday, Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska, in a post on social media, had alleged that the “business group of” VLEN’s Visar Ganiu, Mayor of Cair, Izet Mexhiti, 1st Deputy PM, and Ejup Ademi of Cair Municipality, were destabilising the capital.

According to the Mayor, there’s a plan against her that initially foresees destabilisation of the transport situation, followed by destabilization of the Komunalna Higiena (Communal Hygiene) PE one, in order to cause chaos, defocus the public, and create political manipulation to “save the business interests” worth millions.
