Regarding public reactions to the Supreme Court’s decisions regarding the Laskarci and Stevcho Jakimovski cases, as well as the Criminal Court’s decision on defendants in the Kochani fire case, Prosecutor General Saveski has rejected allegations of any influence over the judiciary.
On Friday, he emphasized verdicts were rendered exclusively in the name of citizens, on the basis of legal provisions.
“The impression that courts render decisions under pressure, under influence, or at the service of the Public Prosecutor’s Office is mistaken. Verdicts are rendered in the name of citizens, based on the application of the law and the evidence contained in the case files”, Saveski stated.
