Prosecutor Ristoska Responds to VMRO-DPMNE’s Press-release

Prosecutor Lence Ristoska, who’s the Office’s representative in the Thaler 1 and Thaler 2 cases, which are related to VMRO-DPMNE, has reacted to the ruling party’s press-release headlined “Ristoska – a sad symbol of injustice with state bonuses and official card serving [ex-PM and former SDSM leader Zoran] Zaev and [the ex-Deputy PM from the ranks of DUI, Artan] Grubi”, describing it as pressure and intimidation.

The press-release starts with the sentence, “What an end!” As Ristoska said on Thursday, VMRO-DPMNE’s press-release does not only represent criticism of her work, but also, considering “an end” and “time for true justice” are used, it sends an intentional message to intimidate and influence her work as Prosecutor.

“In fact, this press-release is just one of the series of attacks to which I’ve been exposed in the past period”, Ristoska noted.

According to her, the press-release contains fabrications and insults that she would work on the basis of instructions from political actors and criminals, that she would pay bonuses and rewards to herself, and that she symbolises the Prosecutor’s Office moral fall.

The Prosecutor stated that if the party didn’t apologise or prove its claims within seven days, she would file a lawsuit before the Civil Court. to whether there was animosity or not, Mickoski would need to answer that.
