The Prosecutor’s Office has presented details regarding the March 2 death of 31-year-old Ivana and her daughter, Katja, in Karposh. The suspect, i.e. now-widower Stojanche Jovanovski, physically attacked Ivana twice and threatened to kill her on the day of the tragedy.
First, according to authorities, the suspect first threatened her and started hitting her near her workplace. Then, while they were in a car being driven by a third party towards the Criminal Court, he continued to threaten to kill her.
Near the Court, he physically attacked her again and inflicted bodily injuries, during which hematomas on her head and body were determined. Later, after they’d picked up their six-year-old daughter from school, the witness took them to their home so the victim could pack and go to her mother’s.
While the witness and the suspect were waiting in front of the building, the victim locked herself in the apartment with the child, after which she committed suicide, the Office says.
Stojanche is suspected of suspicion of instigation to suicide and assistance in suicide, bodily injury, and threatening the safety. The Office’s proposal for an eight-day detention measure has been accepted.
