Prosecutors Planning to Complete Kocani Fire Investigation within Legal Deadline

Prosecutors are planning to complete the investigation into the Kocani nightclub fire within the legal deadline of 90 days. In an interview with Alsat, Prosecutor-General Ljupco Kocevski says that considering the intensity of the work of the 13 prosecutors, the investigation would be completed in a timely fashion, that is, by 17 June.

The investigation, for now, concerns one type of act, that is, grave crimes against general safety. Kocevski hasn’t ruled out the possibility of other people being named suspects.

The Office, on its part, has said that there are intensive activities of expertise and questioning.

“The preliminary results of the majority of them are expected in the next several days”, it has pointed out, calling on everyone who has personal accounts of the fire, information and evidence about the work of the Pulse nightclub and the associated companies, as well as information about the work of institutions that have the competence to act to share them with the investigation.
