At its session on Tuesday, the Council of Public Prosecutors presented a positive opinion on four candidates in the race for Prosecutor General: Judge Nenad Saveski, Prosecutors Lenche Risteska and Lidija Raichevikj, and the current Acting Prosecutor General, Anita Topolova Isajlovska.
Regarding the fifth candidate, former Criminal Court President Panchevski, the Council unanimously decided he didn’t meet conditions provided for in the law in relation to length of service.
However, later on Tuesday, on social media, Panchevski posted a photo of a certificate concerning his length of service. According to a Libertas report, though the Council presented a negative opinion since he didn’t meet the condition for uninterrupted employment of 10 years as a judge or prosecutor in the area of criminal law, the document posted by him shows he in fact meets that condition.
