On Friday, Serbia’s National Bank said it had revoked the operating license of Alta Banka AD Belgrade. Regarding the matter, North Macedonia’s National Bank stated the following day it did not mean the automatic revocation of the operating license of Alta Banka AD Bitola.
Commenting on the case, SDSM leader Filipche said Governor Slaveski had to face accountability and resign, as well as that competent institutions had to launch an investigation.
However, Slaveski said SDSM was acting like an opposition party in Serbia, rather than in its own country. If there are suspicious transactions, he added, they would be checked by the Financial Intelligence Administration.
