SDSM MP Slavjanka Petrovska said on Tuesday that the only goal of the Defenders Draft-Law was to further specify the already determined right and provide for provisions for just compensation for the victims and consequences.
She added that the document was neither a provocation nor an attempt to destabilise North Macedonia.
The SDSM MP called on Speaker Afrim Gashi to, as she said, implement the Rules of Procedure and convene a session of the Social Policy Committee, chaired by European Front MP Ilire Dauti. Regarding VMRO-DPMNE’s collection of signatures, she stressed it was a step backwards, as well as an attempt to avoid responsibility.
The same day, PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said he didn’t know when the Draft-Law would reach the agenda.
“However, once it does, it will have our support,” he stressed.
