Karposh Mayor Lukrovski has appointed Council member Nedelcho Krstevski as Deputy Mayor.
With the decision published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality, Nedelcho Krstevski, who will substitute for the Mayor while he is absent, is also appointed as an authorized signatory of all accounts and financial documents of the local self-government unit. According to the decision, he has the same rights and obligations as the Mayor.
The decision has sparked numerous speculations that Lukrovski wants to resign as Mayor, especially since he has not been present in public for a long time. The Municipality of Karposh, however, has said Lukrovski is using sick leave and is temporarily absent due to health reasons.
However, former Mayor Jakimovski commented on the situation, writing on social media that authorization given to another person does not relieve the Mayor of responsibility.
