Following the City of Skopje’s passage of conclusions for control of the work and relocation of the USJE cement factory, the central government has said it will act according to its competences, while though a relocation will not be a problem, a systemic solution must be found.
The initiative to relocate the factory had come from Green Humane City. City of Skopje Council members unanimously passed conclusions to check the work of USJE and other major industrial polluters.
Mayor Gjorgjievski said once it got the materials, the City of Skopje would file them right away to the Government, Ministry of Environment, and municipalities.
