Commenting on the criminal charge against Sabedin Sinani, head of Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi’s security detail in relation to the 1 August incident at the Skopje airport, VLEN MP Bekim Sali stated on Tuesday that he couldn’t say what exactly had happened at the airport that day and whether someone needed to be held liable because relevant organs needed to voice a stand.
The same day, however, SDSM continued to criticise the Speaker, urging PM Hristijan Mickoski to hold him to account politically and the Prosecutor’s Office to launch proceedings.
Also on Tuesday, Levica filed a no-confidence motion against the Speaker, founded on seven grounds, including the Sinani incident and last month’s group prayer in Parliament during the marking of International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica.
