Reactions to VMRO-DPMNE’s Parliamentary Elections Victory

At around 11 pm yesterday, commenting on his party’s victory in the parliamentary elections, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said SDSM and DUI would be held to account for, as he pointed out, the crime and injustice.

“Tonight, they’ve finally been defeated,” the VMRO-DPMNE leader stated.

He added that it was time for Ali Ahmeti’s party and SDSM to become part of the opposition.

Congratulating both VMRO-DPMNE and Gordana Siljanovska Davkova on the victory in the parliamentary and presidential elections, respectively, he added that the period ahead would see a comprehensive analysis to find the reasons for SDSM’s performance.

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti said the European Front coalition was the second-strongest power in the country. VLEN’s Bilall Kasami said his coalition had emerged victorious in all municipalities where ethnic Albanians comprised the predominant population.

The VLEN-VMRO-DPMNE negotiations to form the new government will start tomorrow, he stressed.
