Repeat Trial over International Alliance Case: Bojan Jovanovski Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

On Monday, in the repeat trial over the International Alliance case, the Criminal Court issued reduced sentences against defendants when compared to those part of the 2022 first-instance verdict.

In the repeat procedure, Bojan Jovanovski (aka. Boki 13) was sentenced to five years in prison for fraud and money laundering.

Jasna Ercegovic was given a two-year prison sentence. The period she’s spent under house arrest will be counted as part of her sentence. Hristina Blazevska received a one-year suspended sentence for money laundering, that is, she will not be imprisoned if she doesn’t commit a new crime within three years.

Bojan’s father, Mile Jovanovski, was given an 18-month suspended sentence for money laundering. He will not be put behind bars if he doesn’t commit a new crime within three years. International Alliance, as a legal entity, was fined one million denars.

According to the first-instance verdict, Bojan Jovanovski, Hristina Blazevska, and Jasna Ercegovic were sentenced to nine, one, and four years in prison, respectively, while Mile Jovanovski was given a two-year suspended sentence. In the frames of that process, Bojan Jovanovski’s father was also charged with unauthorised trade in weapons.
