Attorney Ana Dangova Hug, daughter of ex-PM Gruevski’s attorney, Dimitar Dangov, has also failed to meet criteria of the Advisory Panel of Experts of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg. That means North Macedonia will for the third time submit a third candidate on the three-candidate shortlist for the position of Judge in Strasbourg.
The candidate in question is attorney Elena Ristikj, Vice President of the Bar Association. The head of the Commission, Darko Kostadinovski, who also serves as President of the Constitutional Court, confirmed for SDK.mk Dangova Hug hadn’t fulfilled the requirements regarding the length of professional experience in human rights work.
Regarding Ristikj, she taught at University American College Skopje (UACS) and has authored numerous academic papers, he added.
