Newly appointed Prosecutor General Nenad Saveski officially assumed office Thursday, immediately after his ceremonial oath in Parliament. Saveski held a handover meeting with outgoing acting prosecutor Anita Topolova-Isajlovska, marking the formal transition of responsibilities.
On his first day, he also met with prosecutors and staff at the Republic Public Prosecution Office to discuss priorities and plans for the institution’s future work. The statement highlights that the discussions focused on strengthening the functioning of the prosecutorial organization and setting clear directions for upcoming activities.
This marks the beginning of Saveski’s mandate as Prosecutor General, with expectations centered on continuity, institutional stability, and advancing the role of the prosecution in the justice system.
