On Wednesday, the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) received an anonymous report over Afrona Vervizolli’s appointment as General IPA Auditor.
The SCPC confirmed on Thursday for Telma that a case had been formed over the matter.
It has submitted to the Audit Authority for Audit of Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance a request for information about what legal conditions are required for the appointment.
In addition, the SCPC requests information whether Vervizolli has the required certificates and meets legal conditions.
The body’s head, Tatjana Dimitrovska, said the Auditor had a deadline of 15 days to respond. Information can in the meantime be submitted also from the Government, which appointed Vervizolli, on the basis of a nomination by VLEN, on 31 July, even though, as Telma has reported, she is a banker with no experience in auditing and with no certificates.
