SDSM has said the government doesn’t have the capacity to deal with the fire situation.
“Just a day after the spectacular photo op involving the “makeshift” firefighting unit and old Ermine vehicles from the army, we sow their incompetence and dangerous improvisation in action. The whole show had lasted 24 hours, but then reality came. Fires at multiple locations, a state of emergency in minimalities, while citizens are fighting the fire on their own by using shovels and hoses because institutions have fully failed”, the opposition party said on Tuesday.
In response, VMRO-DPMNE stated that while institutions were doing committed work to deal with the situation, structures close to SDSM are turning into a political teal.
Stressing that there was a persistent need by the opposition party to exploit each incident to score political points, but also “the fact that committing arson is becoming a repeatable model”, VMRO-DPMNE asked, inter alia, whether structures close to SDSM were behind the fires.
