SDSM has filed a criminal charge against PM Mickoski over his April 15 comments that “I have a feeling that, soon, senior officials from the previous government led by SDSM, former PMs, Government Presidents, close people of theirs from the family, and so on will be covered by certain prosecutions”.
According to the party, it’s about a serious violation of the constitutional order in the country.
Asked when the extradition of former PM Gruevski from Budapest would be requested, considering that Poland had already submitted official requests concerning two former Polish government officials, Mickoski said on Friday it was about completely different cases.
“The former members of the Polish government do not have asylum. In our case, the former PM has asylum, and in order to send an extradition request, a procedure is required first to revoke the asylum. If we send it now, we will get a negative answer”, he noted.
However, SDSM said Mickoski was lying that it was about different cases. Although the institutions are only a kilometer apart, the replies from the Ministry of Interior, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Skopje Criminal Court, where proceedings are being conducted against former PM Gruevski, have not yet arrived at the Ministry of Justice because the communication is done via mail.
SDSM has also said Mickoski has also hired Black Cube for surveillance of the opposition. However, both him and VMRO-DPMNE refuted those accusations.
