SDSM-Government Accusations over EU Path and Bulgaria Continue

On Tuesday, SDSM leader Filipche criticized Foreign Minister Mucunski over the matter involving Bulgarian counterpart Petrova-Chamova.

According to him, regardless of whether there was a meeting between the two in Brussels, Mucunski received a clear message from Petrova-Chamova, i.e., that Bulgaria has a clearly expressed stance, which, since 2022, has not been bilateral, but rather an issue for discussion between the EU and the candidate country.

On the other hand, later that day, PM Mickoski said that the shorter path to EU membership involved humiliating challenges, adding that his cabinet was choosing the harder one because dignity was priceless.

Regarding Petrova-Chamova’s “North Macedonian” comments, Kanal 5 has learned that the Foreign Ministry summoned Bulgarian Ambassador Radukov and issued an oral demarche.
