SDSM Leader Filipce in Interview with Kanal 5

On Thursday, in an interview with Kanal 5, SDSM leader Venko Filipce said the resolution his party was proposing was an attempt to create national consensus over the most important state interests in the integration process.

According to him, it specifies the red lines around which parties should unite, that is, language, identity, culture, and history, matters on which “no government should ever negotiate”.

Filipce also stressed that the party clearly stated in the second part what its red lines were.

“And this is not the first time we’re saying that. Additionally, the same ones are contained in VMRO-DPMNE’s programme as well”, the SDSM leader emphasised.

He again stated that even though VMRO-DPME had a significant majority in Parliament, it hadn’t done anything specifically since the 2024 elections in relation to the integration path, which raised suspicions about its true intentions.

The same day, at a SDSM forum in Kavadarci, he said PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski hadn’t implemented any judicial reforms and had allowed partisanship of institutions.
