All members of SDSM’s leadership and Executive Board resigned last night except party leader Filipche, who had requested them to do so.
Aleksandar Dimitrijevikj resigned as Secretary General, Ana Chupeska, Metodija Ilievski, Kristina Kostova, and Kaja Shukova resigned as vice leaders, as did Fani Karanfilova-Panovska, as deputy leader. The resignations have been submitted to the party’s Central Board and Filipche, who, as the party said, leads the internal reforms process.
“With this responsible and moral step, SDSM’s leadership has opened up room for a chapter”, the party stated.
Earlier that day, Filipche had announced the step, adding that the leadership’s new members would be elected in the coming two weeks.
