“What are the ties between the Macedonian authorities and Richard Grenell?”, SDSM has asked following reports that Grenell, who was regarded as one of U.S. President Trump’s most loyal allies, is now under an investigation launched by the White House over suspicions of an alleged pay-for-play scheme peddling influence over Trump.
On Wednesday, the party’s Andrej Zhernovski said SDSM was demanding details regarding the contacts of PM Mickoski and Foreign Minister Mucunski with Grenell.
“What SDSM also demands is that the Prosecutor‘s Office immediately open an investigation into the nature of Mickoski’s contacts and agreements with this individual”, the party stressed.
VMRO-DPMNE responded with counter-accusations. The ruling party maintained that SDSM had no right to lecture anyone on diplomacy.
