SDSM Refutes VMRO-DPMNE’s Allegations about Calling People “Fools”

VMRO-DPMNE MP Mile Lefkov said on Monday that SDSM had referred to the people as “fools” when it came to the results of the poll conducted by Market Vision for the MKD.mk portal, according to which the ruling party’s rating is drastically higher than the Venko Filipce-led political option, that is, 45.2% to 11.2%.

“SDS[M] is obviously anxious over the poll. However, that cannot be an excuse to offend citizens by using words such as ‘fools’. SDS[M] has to know that parties exist for citizens, not vice-versa. So, when the people punishes and says they don’t like some party, that party should fix itself instead of offending the people. The least SDS[M]can do is apologize. The level to which Filipce has brought the party that was once considered VMRO-DPMNE’s main political opponent is embarrassing,” the MP noted.

In response, SDSM said it had sent the message “Don’t’ make a fool out of me”, not the word “fools”.

“’Don’t make a fool out of me’ means I am smart enough to know that you’re lying to me. SDSM said that VMRO-DPMNE should stop making or believing the people was a fool because citizens were smart enough to spot all lies placed by the ruling party,” the opposition party said.
