SDSM has announced an initiative for legal changes that will require that people holding the positions of PM, Deputy PM, as well as Ministers and MPs, hold only Macedonian citizenship.
“Since PM Hristijan Mickoski says there are bigger and smaller Macedonians, with Energy Minister Sanja Bozinovska being the biggest one, we will request for those changes to enter into force right away, starting from the current composition.
Our institutions must be headed by people that have and are loyal only to one country, the Republic of North Macedonia. It’s time for the government to show whether it is in favour of true patriotism or continue to use fake patriotism. Our stand is clear. Politicians must be loyal to the people, to the state, and to the country’s future. Therefore, we demand that Bozinovska resign right away and call on all citizens to support this initiative,” Spokesperson Bogdanka Kuzeska said on Friday.
PM Mickoski had made the comments on Bozhinovska the previous day, during the Q&A session in Parliament, where the Bulgarian citizenship issue concerning the Minister was among the topics.
