The State Election Commission (SEC) approved minutes from recent sessions and adopted several decisions related to financing and logistics for the upcoming local elections on January 11, 2026.
The Commission allocated advance funds for staff and those transporting confidential election materials to municipalities including Mavrovo and Rostushe, Centar Zhupa, Gostivar, and Vrapchishte.
It also set the cash spending maximum for 2026 at 300,000 denars and adopted a financial plan with a total budget of 153.2 million denars, of which 50 million are earmarked for election programs. The Commission further endorsed voting instructions, completing the legal and technical framework ahead of Sunday’s polls.
