On occasion September 8, Independence Day, Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari said the anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the country’s journey since independence and its responsibility toward the future.
“Independence unites us, while the future obliges us”, the minister said.
He stressed that strengthening the rule of law, ensuring independent institutions and protecting citizens’ rights remain essential to building a stable and just society.
According to Shasivari, September 8 celebrates the freedom to determine the country’s future independently, while also reminding each generation of its responsibility to make the state stronger, fairer and better for those who follow. He called for preserving the foundations of independence and building institutions that citizens can trust.
