On Tuesday, six members of the Grcec/Dukjandzik criminal group were sentenced to a combined 50.5 years in prison for cocaine trafficking and double murder.
Telephone communication through the Sky app proved they were close associates of the group’s leader, Sheval Muaremi, who’s in Dubai and wanted on a warrant, and Orhan Bajrami (aka Oki) who was killed in Greece two years ago. Fadil Bajramovski, Sevdi Aziri, and Nexhati Iseni were each sentenced to five years in prison for drug trafficking, while Besim Asani was given six years behind bars from the same crime.
Judge Fanka Janculova Mihailovska stated that Asani had been the one that would transport the drugs, which had arrived from Brazil, from Belgium to North Macedonia. Fati Sulejmanovski and Shulejb Sulejmanovski were sentenced to 14 and 15 years in prison, respectively, for murder and criminal association.
The two, who are brothers, killed 28-year-old Afrim Berisha and 24-year-old Burim Vardari, as revenge because one of the victims had been part of the Aleksandar Palace Hotel shootout when Jeton Krivanjeva (aka Zhilla), one of the main men at the Grcec/Dukjandzik group, and group member Kamer Idrizi, had been attacked. After several unsuccessful attempts, they killed them in 2021 in the settlement of Topansko Pole.
Activities related to the murder and drugs would be discussed and agreed upon through the Sky app.
