The Skopje Civil Court is introducing 24/7 work of the Department of Family Disputes. That means people who want to report domestic violence will be able to do so whenever they want. Previously, citizens were able to contact the Department only during the Court’s work hours.
When it comes to the death of Ivana and her daughter, Katja, the Interior Ministry has opened an internal investigation covering officers who acted on reports on violence against her. It’s about around 10 reports against the suspect and now-widower, Stojanche, who’s currently in detention, Telma has reported.
Also, Kanal 5 has learned that the Internal Control Department has found irregularities in the work before the Karposh tragedy, which primarily concerned inaction ex officio. Asked about the matter, the institution told Kanal 5 all information would be presented once the investigation was carried out in full.
