The Skopje Prosecutor’s Office has opened a case following a criminal charge by the Interior Ministry against one person on suspicion of spreading racist and xenophobic material via information system.
According to the charge, through a specially created page on Facebook, the suspect would share content inciting national and ethnic discrimination, thus instigating hatred toward the Macedonian state and identity.
Following previous information from the National Security Agency, police officers conducted a search and seized propaganda material that the 30-year-old Skopje man had printed with the intention of distributing it in the country. The suspect had been instigated to commit the acts by a Bulgarian citizen.
As Kanal 5 said in its report, the charge has been filed in relation to Viktor Stoyanov, the controversial head of the Bulgarian Foundation named “Macedonia”.
