Some of those who have lost their kids in the Kocani fire have claimed they’ve received threats on social media.
Verica Trifunova, whose daughter was among those killed in the tragedy, has shared part of messages from a Blagojce Velkov, who has allegedly threatened other parents that they will lose the children that are alive, too, adding she’s received similar threats.
The parents have said they’ve reported the threats to the police. On the other hand, the Interior Ministry’s stand is that no report has been filed. However, the institution is taking action on the basis of rumor.
“The Computer Crime Sector, on the basis of its legal competences, has intensively taken action to look into the allegations and is already acting to discover the identity of the person sending such messages and determining the validity of information about the matter”, police have said.
