On Tuesday, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi stated that the cabinet and the majority in the legislative house were stable and worked at full capacity.
Asked when the new Health Minister would be elected, the Speaker pointed out that it was PM Hristijan Mickoski that should nominate the person. After that, that process will be put on the agenda and then submitted to all MPs.
The same day, VLEN’s Izet Mexhiti stated that there was work on the nominations.
“In the coming days, they will be submitted to the Government”, he pointed out.
Mexhiti believes that Azir Aliu is the best candidate for the position of Health Minister. Also, Mexhiti pointed out that the previous day, 10 people from Alliance for Albanians, led by Deputy PM for Good Governance Arben Fetai, had joined VLEN’s Presidency.
When it comes to Hristijan Mickoski’s stand on the position of Health Minister issue, he still hasn’t decided whether he will accept VLEN’s nomination of Azir Aliu.
