Still no Information from Commission over Three-Month-Old Baby Case

Over the case concerning the three-month-old baby, from an ethnic Albanian family, with bruises on its body, the questions have remained unanswered.

According to statements by persons close to the baby, following a verbal conflict resulting from the mother not being able to speak Macedonian well, the Clinic of Children’s Diseases nurse intentionally hurt the baby during a procedure to draw blood.

Now, a commission formed within the Clinic will need to determine all the facts and find out whether the bruises were caused by inhumane treatment or they are a result of a specific medical condition.

The Clinic’s new Director, Rexhep Memedi, declined on Monday to reveal new details.

“The commission will do work. The public will be informed when there is something new that needs to be shared,” he stated.
