Strategic Partnership Matter: PM Dismisses Opposition’s Allegations over Transparency and Migrants

Asked about the opposition’s allegations about non-transparency with regards to the matter of the strategic agreement with the UK, PM Hristijan Mickoski said on Wednesday everything would be public, that is, citizens would be notified of every cent that would be spent.

“There will be no adoption of agreements in the shortened procedures by using the EU flag and with highly confidential, classified documents”, the PM noted.

Asked about the issue of migrants and asylum seekers, the PM said it was about a topic that had been made up.

“Isn’t the statement by the UK’s Ambassador [, Matthew Lawson,] enough? No camps, no migrants whatsoever. Isn’t that enough? That’s the same as me asking how you would comment on the situation outside in terms of it being dark, even though we’re seeing it’s day”, he told journalists.

Regarding the issue of Arben Taravari, the PM said he should get the name of a person nominated for the position of Health Minister by the end of the week.

“If VLEN nominates a person with whom there cannot be cooperation, I have the right to say ‘No’”, the PM underlined.
