Struga Mayor Mendi Qyra has been charged with abuse of official position and authority.
According to the police, the suspect, in his capacity as Mayor, contrary to the provisions of the Elementary Education Law, adopted a decision by which he unlawfully dismissed the principal of a municipal elementary school, after which he appointed another individual as acting principal.
According to the Interior Ministry, Qyra was aware that the newly-appointed individual did not fully meet the conditions in line with Article 118 of the Law.
