Telma: Sulejmani Appointed Special Envoy to Arabian Gulf Countries at Start of August

At the start of August, ex-parliamentarian Salim Sulejmani was appointed Special Envoy of the Government to Arabian Gulf Countries, resident in Riyadh, Telma reported on Thursday. Previously, the TV station had already reported his name had been also determined as Ambassador at the new Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Sulejmani, in May, left both his position in Parliament and all posts within the wing of Alliance for Albanians headed by Arben Tarvari, a week after the wing had left the ruling structure.

Telma has asked the Government questions about the nature of Sulejmani’s diplomatic task and his experience in the area, but it hasn’t been able to get an answer so far, the TV station said in its 3:36 pm report on Thursday.

Prior to his political career, Sulejmani had been a Struga Muftiship Mufti. However, he was dismissed by the-then Head of the Islamic Religious Community, Sulejman Rexhepi, without a more detailed official explanation. According to unofficial information at that time, he was part of activities against Rexhepi.
