On Thursday (August 13), upon the expiration of 72 hours from the last laboratory test, the official results of the third water test in Gostivar will be known. If it confirms the previous two results, drinking water in Gostivar will be declared safe. That information was presented at Wednesday’s meeting of the Crisis Staff in Gostivar.
Sources from the headquarters told Kanal 5 that the latest microbiological tests were clean, while following the order to reduce the chlorine level, both consecutive measurements showed values within permissible limits.
However, according to the same sources, the decision regarding the possible lifting of the drinking water ban should be announced by relevant institutions, most likely the Food Agency, which issued the ban order.
