Transporters from North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro will not hold protests because they have received a promise that there will be a swift resolution to the issue of length of stay.
Although blockades were announced for Monday (September 14), they have agreed not to shut down borders toward EU members.
The Makam-trans association says the decision demonstrates their understanding of the disruptions that a halt in the supply chain of goods would cause, but also notes they have been promised an expedited process toward resolving the issue of their stay in the Schengen area beyond 90 days within a 180-day period. All preparations for the protest have been put on hold for a certain period of time.
