Transporters from North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will today send a joint letter to the EC, demanding that an acceptable solution be offered no later than August 10 regarding the issue of stay limitations for professional drivers in the Schengen area, media reported on Tuesday. The decision was made at a meeting of transport associations from the four countries.
They announced that the letter would also be delivered to governments, chambers of commerce, and export companies in the region to increase pressure for a faster resolution to the problem.
If an acceptable response is not received by the specified deadline, the associations will meet again to announce new concrete measures to accelerate the process to find a resolution.
