Trial of Three Officers Charged in Kochani Fire Case Starts

The trial of three officers charged with abuse of official position in the Kochani fire case started on Tuesday.

According to the charge, Pulse owner Dejan Jovanov avoided paying a fine because, after a control process of the nightclub, they intentionally wrote down the name of another company, which was inactive.

The Prosecutor’s Office said that the police officers had to request concrete documents from the club for insight and put the data in the report, but they had written down inaccurate data that had been dictated to them verbally. At the first hearing, all pleaded not guilty.
