Two Authentic Interpretations concerning Foreign Affairs Law Voted Through

On Tuesday, MPs voted through the two authentic interpretations related to the Foreign Affairs Law, which means there is now a possibility of ambassadors who hadn’t completed the hearing process before they started their term abroad being recalled.

The two interpretations concern two articles of the Law that, prior to Tuesday’s adoption, had been voted through in the frames of the Legislative Commission on 2 December.

The first interpretation concerns the aspect the hearing process is mandatory, not protocolary, while the other concerns the recalling procedure, according to which the Government, too, upon a request from the Foreign Minister, can launch such an initiative.
