On Friday, PM Mickoski said a tete-a-tete with DUI leader Ahmeti was on his agenda. However, for now, it remains unknown when they will meet.
After the January 14 leaders’ meeting, Ahmeti stated that they’d decided to meet to talk about topics such as the Safe City system and two-thirds majority concerning the Law on Misdemeanors, but also over the issue of decision-making by the Constitutional Court on the basis of the Badinter principle.
According to unofficial information of 24 TV, DUI leader Ahmeti and SDSM leader Filipche met a day before the Mickoski-initiated leaders’ meeting, while the SDSM leader offered a broad opposition front which would be joined by DUI.
Filipche confirmed on Sunday there had been a meeting, but didn’t reveal details. Also on Sunday, PM Mickoski again criticized Filipche’s non-participation in the leaders’ meeting, saying vacuums in politics were quickly filled.
