Vanja Gjorcevska Case: Charge against Prime Suspect Palevski Filed

Ljupco Palevski, prime suspect in the case concerning last year’s double murder of Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezovski has been charged with murder and kidnapping.

At the same time, a relevant prosecutor has also filed a proposal to merge the Palevski procedure with the proceedings against the other four persons charged in the process, Vlatko Kesisov, Velibor Manev, Bore Videvski, and Gjorcevska’s father, Aleksandar Gjorcevski.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the five planned to kidnap Gjorcevska, aged 14, in order to get ransom from a member of her immediate family.

On 22 November 2023, the Office added in a press release on Monday, Palevski, together with Kesisov, Manev, and Videvski, went to Zezovski’s house in Veles and kidnapped him in order to make him give them his vehicle, a Citroen, in order for them to use it in Gjrocevska’s kidnapping.

They tied him up, put him in the trunk, and headed to a place called Rudnik, in the Veles surrounding area, where, cruelly and for self-interest, killed him with a gun.

Five days later, on 27 November, according to the Office, the four people, helped by the father, Aleksandar, kidnapped the girl from the entrance of a building on Naum Naumovski Borce Street in Skopje.

They tied her up and took her near a place called Dupki in the Brazda village district, where they murdered her in a premeditated manner, the Office explained.
