On Saturday, VLEN continued to criticise DUI, saying Ali Ahmeti’s party was at the “bottom of the well”.
“Every day, its shameful deal with Levica is revealed”, it added, stressing that in the first round, voters had punished DUI.
Also on Saturday, Levica MP and Skopje mayoral candidate Amar Mecinovic, in an interview with Sitel, didn’t answer the question as to whether his party would support the DUI-led coalition’s candidate in the second round of the Kicevo mayoral race, Fatmir Dehari, or VMRO-DPMNE’s candidate, Aleksandar Jovanovski.
The previous day, Levica MP Jovana Mojsoska had stated that VLEN and DUI were openly cooperating in Caska, Brvenica, and Kicevo, probably as “gratitude” to VMRO-DPMNE and its leader, PM Hristijan Mickoski, for the decision not to endorse mayoral candidates in Gostivar, Tetovo, and Struga.
