VMRO-DPMNE and ZNAM are yet to reach a final deal on the Kumanovo and Centar mayoral races. Talks are underway, moving in a positive direction, the former’s leader, PM Hristijan Mickoski, says.
The final decision is expected to be made following 15 August. ZNAM expects its leader, Maksim Dimitrievski, to be supported in the race for another term as Kumanovo Mayor. It has also said it will endorse a candidate in Centar as well.
When it comes to VLEN, Mickoski has said there is a principled agreement for there to be support in municipalities where either side will endorse a candidate.
As regards Levica, it, too, will endorse a candidate in the Skopje mayoral race. In Gostivar, the European Front will endorse Arben Taravari, while the ex-Health Minister’s Alliance for Albanians wing will endorse candidates also in Vrapciste, Tearce, and Saraj.
