VMRO-DPMNE: Language, Identity, and European Perspective Confirmed

On Tuesday, in response to the criticism from SDSM over matters related to MEP and Rapporteur Thomas Waitz’s draft-report, VMRO-DPMNE said only Bulgarian MEPs part of the EPP had voted against, adding that they had received support from the social democrats.

“In the document, as a result of the continued commitment and principled approach, with a broad majority, the Macedonian language, Macedonian identity, and European perspective of the country are confirmed”, it pointed out.

The same day, the ruling party’s leader, PM Hristijan Mickoski, stated that a two-week period was ahead in which the cabinet would fight fiercely.

“It’s good that we’ve gotten over this first hurdle and that everyone has seen that several hundreds of Bulgarians are not the essence, that is, that the essence is deeper”, he noted.
