VMRO-DPMNE, VLEN, and SDSM Continue to React to Taravari Issue

VMRO-DPMNE has so far not had discussions on exchange of ministerial positions or departments.

“We haven’t discussed who will take over the Health Ministry”, Valentin Manasievski, member of the ruling party’s Central Committee, stated at a press-conference on Tuesday.

Regarding the outgoing Health Minister, Arben Taravari, whose Alliance for Albanians’ wing has decided to leave the cabinet, Manasievski stated that somebody “cannot consider that they can be part of the government while, at the same time, sitting in the hugs of the SDSM-DUI crime”.

When it comes to VLEN’s Izet Mexhiti, his stand is that Taravari has betrayed the government. He said it was disappointing to all ethnic Albanians that had voted for changes in the 2024 elections.

On the other hand, SDSM, on its part, stated that Taravari’s decision to leave directly confirmed that the PM Hristijan Mickoski-headed cabinet was dysfunctional, destructive, and fully stuck in its own interests.
