The working version of the text of the Draft-Law on Confiscation of Assets in Civil Proceedings, which was being prepared in August by the working group headed by Deputy PM for Good Governance Policies Slavica Grkovska, will be submitted to the EU and Venice Commission.
After the received opinions, it will be considered at a public debate before the wider public in order for a functional and applicable law aligned with international standards to be adopted. Both Grkovska and Justice Minister Krenar Lloga took part in Thursday’s meeting.
They agree that the law is needed to strengthen the fight against corruption in North Macedonia.
