Arben Taravari, head of one of the wings of Alliance for Albanians, and DUI leader Ali Ahmeti are yet to reach a deal on cooperation. The European Front has said that details of their talks will be presented soon.
However, well-informed sources have said that regardless of how much Taravari and Ahmeti are interested in cooperating, the latter has faced problems with the former being accepted by other partners within the Front.
That’s especially the case when it comes to Ziadin Sela’s wing of Alliance for Albanians, which considers that Taravari has personal motives.
“The decision of Arben Taravari, as one of the main creators of VLEN, to leave the Government without bringing his whole creations with him is not a national act, but rather a commercial one, now, on the eve of the local elections. Because since the day he entered politics, he has never been without power, especially without power at a local level”, MP Ilire Dauti of Sela’s wing has said.
