The campaign for the parliamentary elections has continued. In Sveti Nikole, SDSM leader Dimitar Kovacevski described the elections as key to the future.
“These elections are a vote in favour or against our European future,” he said.
Regarding DUI’s rally the previous day, in Skopje, Kovacevski stated that North Macedonia was a country also of the ethnic Albanian community.
“Nobody can take away your rights. They’re part of the Constitution. However, you have a responsibility, too. If you hope some dissatisfaction will turn into violence, you’re lying to yourselves,” he noted.
The SDSM leader also sent a message to VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, saying that every blockade on the EU path represents not only stagnation, but also going back. The same day, in Lozovo, Mickoski said the people was uniting over the wish for change.
“Now it is up to us how big the intensity of that change will be and how many MP seats and votes VMRO-DPMNE and presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, respectively, will get,” he stated.
