VMRO-DPMNE has started talks on potential ruling coalitions.
“I have taken the initiative since this morning and talked to some political actors,” party leader Hristijan Mickoski said on Thursday, adding that their names would be known in the coming days. However, he added that all opposition parties were welcome.
“I think we will first have a historic result on 8 May and then form a solid, stable government,” Mickoski stressed.
Asked about the issue of SDSM and DUI potentially boycotting the second round of the presidential election, he said a mass turnout and mobilisation of citizens should be the response in the event of such a scenario.
However, in his view, if both parties decide to boycott the process, they will show immaturity and that they only care about the few people that lead them.
